Since 1995, Money Camps® created by Susan Bradley, CFP®, has created a place where people of all ages can learn about saving, investing and giving in a fun, multi-media environment. They can address their financial concerns with others who share similar fears and aspirations about acquiring wealth. And they can develop a clear-cut game plan that will send them down the path toward financial success.
Through discussion, games, storytelling and role-playing, small groups of campers learn the fundamentals of banking, investing and charitable giving. No classrooms, no rigid guidelines-- Money Camps® for Kids enables its participants to develop financial plans that will send them on their lifelong journey through financial literacy to money maturity.
Current research about kids and money demonstrates that there is a lack of communication about money in our schools as well as our homes. At Money Camps® for Kids, young people (ages 10-20) have a chance to examine their thoughts and feelings about finance, uncovering the significance of saving, interest, inflation, stocks, bonds and mutual funds. We provide a camp-like atmosphere where kids can discover what they need to know to create a financial plan for their immediate and distant futures. |
